Charters & Son is an award-winning painting and decorating company serving Edinburgh, the Lothians, the Scottish Borders, and beyond. Established in 1988 by George Charters at the age of 27, the company has a rich history in the industry. In 2013, George welcomed his youngest son, Jordan Charters, into the business when he was just 17 years old.
In 2017, Jordan had the honor of representing the UK at the World Skills finals, the largest international skills competition, held in Abu Dhabi. Competing against top professionals from around the globe, he earned a medallion of excellence, further solidifying the company’s reputation for quality and skill.
Since then, Charters & Son has experienced significant growth, expanding their team to nine dedicated painters and decorators, all committed to maintaining the high standards that the company is known for. Their services have increased ten-fold, primarily driven by positive recommendations and a stellar reputation in the community.
Additionally, George and Jordan are recognised for their commitment to empowering the next generation through apprenticeships and work experience opportunities, fostering talent in the painting and decorating industry.
